When angels approached men in the Bible they were often told to fear not.  Not fearing is a command in the word. It’s not a question. It’s not a “maybe”. It’s a command.  Fear in both Hebrew and Greek is the same word for reverence. It’s used to explain how we should treat God. With fear and reverence.  In Matthew 10:28, Jesus tells us to “fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear He who has the power to destroy both body and soul in hell.” Jesus himself said that. And who do you suppose he was talking about? I’ll give you a hint. It wasn’t Dr. Fauci.  The word for fear here in both places by the way is phobios. Greek for fear and reverence. I believe the whole point of the Truman show is that  Media has taken the place of God.   The Media tells us what to wear. What is desirable in a mate. What love is. What to wear eat and drink. What to buy. What to think. And what to worship. It tells us who we are and informs our every move. It even spies on us and then targets ads to us based on our private conversations.  Many people start their day immediately by turning on their phone. It used to be that people started their days in prayer and Bible reading. That’s because they wanted to be informed by God. Today they are still informed by their god - the mass media. Hollywood.  The one true God gives us free will. Hollywood does not. Hollywood gives us fantasy. Illusion. Entertainment. Escape.
