Why people get hurt in churches

A lot of people get hurt in churches. To understand the reason, let’s look at the Word.

Jesus told this parable:

“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.

But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’

He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’

But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

… later…..

Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”

He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked *one.* The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.

The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

from Matthew 13

From this parable we can see that there are a lot of fake believers. Jesus says that Satan planted them. They’re in the churches. They grow up all around you. They’re there to make believers lives difficult. They’re also there to keep people from coming to Christ.

In Matthew 7 and John 15 Jesus talks about fruit being the one way to tell a true prophet (or preacher) from a false one. This also applies to telling true believers from false ones.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor *can* a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”

Matt 7

But exactly what fruit is Jesus talking about?

Jesus goes on to talk about what he meant immediately after that. (he does that a lot).

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who **does the will **of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied (or preached) in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, **you who practice lawlessness!’**

lawlessleess is the fruit Jesus was specifically talking about. Disobeying God.

And Jesus said the most important laws are loving God and loving your neighbor. Everything else falls under these laws.

(Matthew 22:35-40 , Mark 12:28-34 , and Luke 10:27)

Galatians 5:22–23 and the fruit of the spirit goes right along with this.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Interesting that Paul says  against such things there is no law isn’t it?

paul also contrasts the fruit of the spirit and those who walk in the spirit with the fruit of the flesh and those who walk in the flesh.

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told *you* in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

  Gal 5:19–21

Does any of this sound like some of the people in your church? They will likely hide the worse ones. But you’ll see it in the “smaller” ones. Like contentions. Fits of wrath. Jealousies. Selfish ambitions.

there are other lists in the Bible of sins and they include things like gossip, discord, slander, arrogance and disorder.

If you see these things consistently, the people in question are either very young and immature, young in their faith (in which case you might cut them some slack) or if they should’ve known better by now, they’re quite possibly a TARE.

Now let me say. Christians do make mistakes and sin sometimes. But they should apologize And be sorry for their sin. If you confront them they should be very apologetic. Not argue with you, Make excuses, or gaslight you and turn things around and make them all your fault somehow. And they should NEVER say we shouldn’t follow the clear teachings of Jesus Christ.

They also won’t slander you just because you don’t fit into their little paradigm.  Truth is truth and you know it when you read it IF you aren’t a tare.

If the person or people consistently act lawlessly or lovelessly, it is likely they are TARES. False believers.

The Tares by the way are a type of weed that looks exactly like wheat… until it’s time for harvest. At that point you can see that there’s nothing to harvest. There’s no FRUIT.

Don’t be too shocked. In these last days there are more false believers than there are true ones. I’ve been all over and many if not most of the people in the churches are false believers. They’re there for the programs. The free food. To look holy and appear to be good people to outsiders. To buy their way into heaven. Because someone made them go. To gain power and control. Or because they like the heresy being preached there. It tickles their itching ears.

Maybe you’re very blessed and go to one of the few churches that haven’t bowed the knee to Baal. In that case you won’t know what I’m talking about because you won’t be damaged.

But if you’re damaged by church people or even a minister or pastor, this is likely why.
