Spread the Gospel

We Christians spend so much of our time in trivial and useless pursuits. we as a people need to repent of our sloth, arrogance, lack of love and lack of faith.

If we would stop using the arm of the flesh to try to change things and instead do things Gods’ way, things would change here and around the world, just as they did in the book of acts.

We are trying to change the culture with laws and shaming. When did laws ever change one human heart? That’s legalism!  Yet we support laws and immoral men and think they’ll save us instead of trusting God.

(note: I’m not anti law. I’m anti trusting MANS law to save us - or trusting the government or anything else to save us. That is reserved for God alone. )

We refuse to do what  Jesus commanded - going into the world, witnessing to the world, loving the world as Jesus did, and we have lost our culture and our country as a result.

This is OUR FAULT folks. We need to take ownership and repent of OUR sin, not try to blame the world for the problems in the world. If we would judge ourselves, then God wouldn’t have to judge us. but we refuse. (2 chronicles 7:14, 1 cor 5, 1 cor 11:31)

We think we’re the ones who are holy and THEY  are not so the judgment of God is THEIR fault.

But that’s a lie from the enemy. Remember the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector?

———-

“To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:  “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector.  I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’

“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Luke 18

———

We Christians are mostly just Pharisees today. Pretending to be holy on the outside to be seen by and be praised by men but inwardly we are nothing but all uncleanness and dead men’s bones.

We need to remember we are sinners in need of grace just as much as anyone else. That takes humility, which is very lacking among believers in these last days.

In the last few years, we Christians have completely ruined our witness among the world. The world doesn’t want anything to do with us anymore because we’ve lost our salt.

We have lost our salt by refusing to live like jesus taught.

We are supposed to live apart from the world. We are supposed to be in the world but not of it. We are supposed to humbly repent when we sin, not crow about how we’re so righteous; that’s being a Pharisee.

We have lost our light. We hid it under bushels and offer the world not Jesus but a behavior program to make them better. “Just stop sinning on your own! stop being gay. stop abortions. stop being liberal. we’ll pass laws to make you if you don’t!”

How is this good news? Only Jesus can change hearts. THAT is the gospel. But we leave THAT part out.

We refuse to share Jesus over and over. When we do share him the world won’t listen because we’re hypocrites and we have lost our testimony.

We support immoral men who never publicly repented or showed any humility whatsoever and we overlook their blatant sin and yet we point the finger at the world and call THEM sinners, without offering them the solution - Jesus-

and then we wonder why the world hates us.

They hate us not because of Jesus but because we’re hypocrites. This is to our shame.

We argue and point fingers on social media at liberals, democrats and “woke” people night and day and think we’ve won a battle.

All the while we’re blind to the fact that we’re losing the war.

We are all hypocrites including myself and we all need to repent and start LOVING the world as Jesus says, not hating them.

Can hate bring an illegal immigrant to Jesus? Can hate bring a very lost and confused lgbtq person to Jesus? Can hate bring a liberal or a democrat or an abortion doctor or a radical feminist to Jesus?

It won’t. It won’t ever. Remember it’s the KINDNESS of God that leads people to repentance.

Mind you, I’m not talking about the few souls who are loving people into the kingdom and lovingly showing by the Holy Spirits’ guidance that their sin is killing them. I’m talking about the majority of professing Christianity who goes around bashing liberals, gays, feminists, abortion activists, drug users and anyone else, basically tells them to reform themselves OR ELSE, and never gives them the gospel. That’s the key difference. No love, no gospel.

Have we really let our love grow so cold? Jesus said in Matthew 24 that it would happen. I’ve never seen so much hate in my life as in the past five years, and this from professing BELIEVERS? If you’re hating I’m sorry to tell you but according to Jesus and the Bible  that means your father is SATAN. (1 john 4, john 8)

Anyone who reads this and is still yelling at the world to stop being the world without Jesus, STOP. Repent! It’s not of God.

Just because the people who have set themselves in Moses’ seat in America are doing it doesn’t mean you should follow them. Follow Jesus.

You want a revival? Obey Jesus. Love your enemies. Do good to those who persecute you. Turn the other cheek, so that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. (matt 5)

That is all.
